Is there a subscription?
Yes — $20/month, one per household rather than per person. It pays for what Friday does for your family: remembering what matters, speaking up before anyone has to ask, and connecting to the calendar and email you already use. The device price is separate and is an estimate until we’re closer to shipping.
What am I paying today, and what comes later?
Today: $20, refundable until it ships. It isn’t a purchase — it holds your place, and it comes off the price if you go ahead. Later, when we can show you the final specs and terms, you choose whether to buy. Only then do you pay the balance. You can hold up to 5 reservations per household.
What if I change my mind?
Email us any time before your Friday ships and the full $20 goes back to the card you paid with, within 5 business days. There’s no cancellation fee and you don’t need a reason. The full terms are in the Reservation Terms.
What does a Founding reservation include?
Founding reservations will have early access to software and hardware. If you buy the device, six months of the subscription are included at no cost.
What if it ships later than Summer 2027?
Then you’ll still be able to cancel and get your deposit back, because that’s true right up until the moment it ships. And if anything we’ve described here changes significantly before then, we’ll tell you before you’re ever asked to buy.
Do I need to keep my phone nearby?
No. The device on the counter works on its own — just ask with your voice. The phone and desktop apps will let the same conversation follow you when you’re on the go; the device won’t depend on them.
Will it work with the calendar and email we already use?
That’s the plan, and it’s the honest answer: the integrations listed on this page are planned, not finished. We’ll say plainly which ones are working before anyone’s asked to pay the balance.
